AI consulting for businesses in Germany and Europe

AI consulting at APPIQ Solutions means advice and implementation from the same person. You do not get a slide deck with recommendations, you get a risk analysis, a running prototype, and a decision you can make once that prototype exists. Founder Viktor Hermann has worked as a solution architect for over 8 years and serves companies across Germany and Europe.

What does an AI consultant actually do?

An AI consultant sorts first and builds second. Sorting means walking through your workflows, naming the processes that lose the most time, and judging for each what is technically possible and what needs legal clarification.

Building means turning the chosen process into a prototype, connecting it to your existing systems, and testing it in daily work. Rollout comes after that, not before.

How does the engagement run?

Four steps, each with a result you hold in your hands.

  • First call, free: thirty minutes to establish whether your case holds.
  • Risk analysis: processes, data situation, legal points, effort estimate. You get a document you can use with or without us.
  • Prototype or pilot: one process, fixed price, right to stop. Your team works with it, not just a demo environment.
  • Operation and expansion: handover, training, further processes. Or you take over, since the code is yours.

Who is this consulting for?

For managing directors and IT leads at mid-sized companies who want AI and need one contact who owns the implementation. The usual starting point: the benefit is clear, but nobody in-house wants to carry the risk alone.

Second group: tech teams evaluating whether the APPIQ Cognitive Engine fits their development process. That needs a technical assessment rather than classic consulting.

How is this different from a strategy firm?

A large strategy firm delivers market analysis, a target picture, and a roadmap. That has its place when you restructure a corporation. For a company of fifty to five hundred people it usually means too much paper and too little running code.

Here the same person writes the analysis and the code. That shortens the path between insight and result, and it makes excuses harder: whoever gives the recommendation also builds it.

What does AI consulting cost?

Effort follows the number of processes, the state of your data, how many systems need connecting, and the requirements around approvals and logging.

The first call is free. Risk analysis and prototype come at fixed prices so you know what you are committing to. The prototype includes a right to stop.

What do GDPR and the EU AI Act require?

Two rulebooks touch almost every AI project. GDPR asks which personal data you process, on what legal basis, and where it sits. In practice: update your processing records, settle data processing agreements, fix the hosting location.

The EU AI Act sorts AI applications into risk classes. Most operational applications land in the lower classes, where transparency and documentation carry the weight: people know AI is involved, and the system is described. Higher classes apply to areas such as hiring or credit decisions.

We name these points in the risk analysis and document the architecture so your legal counsel can work with it. We do not give legal advice.

Frequently asked questions

Can I book only the analysis, without implementation?

Yes. The risk analysis stands on its own. You receive the process list, the risks, and the effort estimate as a document, and you can continue in-house or with another provider.

Do you work outside Germany?

Yes. We are based in Oerlinghausen, North Rhine-Westphalia, and work with companies across Germany and Europe. Most collaboration runs remotely, on-site sessions are possible.

Who owns the code in the end?

You do. You receive the sources and the documentation, so you can develop further in-house or hand the work to another provider.

What if AI turns out to be wrong for my case?

Then we say so in the first call or in the analysis. Some processes need clean master data or an interface, not AI. A project that does not hold costs you more than an honest no.

How fast can I get an appointment?

The booking form on this site lets you pick an open slot directly. The start date for a risk analysis depends on current capacity, which we settle during the call.

Do I have to commit to one AI model?

No. We build so the language model stays swappable. The choice follows your requirements on privacy, quality, and cost, and it can change later.
